READ CAREFULLY:
Looking for participants who enjoy a more varied backpack, are flexible, patient, self reliant and are good team players.
You will probably need hike in snow for portions so Microspikes may be required.
Please do your research (lots out there) and determine if this trip is right for you.
If I don't know you, please let me know what you have done and about when if exact dates are not known.
Thanks, and let me know if any questions.
The present idea is to start from the Windy Ridge TH and go clockwise. We'll hike through the blast/no camping zone on our last day. Two nights at campsites. June Lake the first night and S Fork Toutle River the 2nd night.
Mileage per Caltopo is 30miles from the parking area with a side trip to Loowit Falls (1 mile RT) on the last day.
Day 1: Parking area @ Windy Ridge to June Lake - 8.15mi/+1262' -2254'
Day 2: June Lake to S Fork Toutle River - 10.74mi/+2955' -2933'
Day 3: S Fork Toutle River to parking area - 9.2mi/+2422' -1325'
The group will finalize plans about a week before departure.
Bad weather and/or trail conditions will cancel this trip. An alternative may be offered.
TBD, but know it will be early so spending the night near the trailhead may be a good option.
