Naturalist Trip - Westberg Trail

Spring flowers, birds and views combine to make this trip memorable. Lots of east side flowers to learn and arriving migrating birds to identify.

Westburg Trail is one of the most popular spring hikes in Eastern Washington and for good reason. Blowers, birds and views as well as easy trail access. The main trail is heavily overused and we prefer a longer, less steep and much less used alternative, the Cheeky Burggar trail, and return on the Boy Scout Trail. The early migrating birds are all acitvely feeding and beginning nesting and the flowers too are blooming their hearts out.

9:30 AM at the Westburg Trailhead on Cove Road.  Carpool from Seattle at 7:30 AM.
