Naturalist Trip - Tronsen Ridge

Tronsen Ridge is one of the most florabundant areas in the state, along with exceptional views. We meet just off Blewett Pass and caravan to the trail, since the road can be challenging, and since me make stops along the way to Haney Meadow, where the hiking begins.

This area had a wildfire about 10 years ago,  the  wildflowers are pretty much fully returned and the ridge and walk up provide variable woods, meadow and stream habitat, with diverse wildflowers. The views are fantastic from the ridge. Learn about Gordon's Ivesia and many other endemic flowers.

meet 9:30 AM at Swauk FOrest Discovery trail just off Blewett Pass. We will caravan and carpool up to Haney Meadows with several stops to botanize and bird. Carpooling from Green Lake Park and ride requires about 2 hours. and 1.5 hours from Preston Park and Ride (MP 22 on I90). A high clearance vehicle is probably needed to drive to Haney Meadows.
