This area had a wildfire about 8 years ago and is recovring. The wildflowers are pretty much fully returned and the ridge and walk up provide variable woods, meadow and stream habitat, with divers wildflowers. The views are fantastic from the ridge.

meet 9:30 AM at Swauk FOrest Discovery trail just off Blewett Pass. We will caravan and carpool up to Haney Meadows with several stops to botanize and bird. Carpooling from Green Lake Park and ride requires about 2 hours. and 1.5 hours from Preston Park and Ride (MP 22 on I90). A high clearance vehicle is probably needed to drive to Haney Meadows.
