Weill meet at 9 AM at the parking lot for the Sauk Nature Trail just above Blewett Pass (turn right at the pass if coming from Cle Elum) where there are facilities. From there we will caravan, stopping at some flower and bird hotspots along the way. High clearance vehicles may be needed for the last 3 miles. Carpooling is encouraged.
Trip goals are to celebrate the diversity of wildlife and landscapes on the east side of the cascade mountains through a walk along a ridge abundant in flowers and diversity. We will botanize, bird and discuss the geology of the region.
