Naturalist Trip - Tronsen Ridge

Starting a Haney Meadows we will hake between 4 and 6 miles through a surprising variety of wildflowers and up along Tronsen RIdge with views of the Stuart Range, Mt. Rainier and more. Many endemics are found along these trails. We will stop often and amble from aha to yahoo.

Weill meet at 9 AM at the  parking lot for the Sauk Nature Trail just above Blewett Pass (turn right at the pass if coming from Cle Elum) where there are facilities. From there we will caravan, stopping at some flower and bird hotspots along the way. High clearance vehicles may be needed for the last 3 miles. Carpooling is encouraged.

Trip goals are to celebrate the diversity of wildlife and landscapes  on the east side of the cascade mountains through a walk along a ridge abundant in flowers and diversity. We will botanize, bird and discuss the geology of the region.
