Join our bird scouting tour primarily by car, stopping at various birding hotspots to identify resident and wintering waterfowl, raptors, and woodland birds.

Meet at 7:15 AM at the Green Lake Park and Ride north of 65th street - under the I5 Freeway near the far north part of the lot. We will form carpools and leave promptly at 7:30 AM. We will then stop at Smokey Point Rest Area on I5 just before exit 208 to use the facilities and pick up anyone that wants to meet us there. Time at Smokey Point should be 8:10 AM.
This will be an all-day trip. We'll work our way from Fir Island Farm Reserve to the Samish Flats stopping at several other birding hotspots along the way. At each stop, we will walk along gravel trails which may be muddy.
Bring a lunch, cold and hot drinks, snacks, rain gear, and lots of layers.
Bring binoculars and a spotting scope if you have one.
We will bring radios for communication between vehicles
