We will walk slowly, enjoying all there is to see including mosses, trees, plants, and birds, as well as geology related to the oxbow lake. For more information about this valley, take a look here. For more about the hike, read here. Pack a lunch and bring something to sit on, and we will stop for lunch with a view of the river.
If you are new to naturalist trips, we do move very slowly. The goal is to enjoy nature and each other's company.
We will meet at the parking area at 10:00am. The parking area is just past the start of the trail. Further details will be included in the Dear Naturalist email.
