We will start walking along the paved trail next to the Snohomish River and then explore the wetlands before returning again to the main paved trail. Our focus will be to find birds as we explore the riparian and marsh areas.
We will not be stopping for lunch. You are welcome to bring snacks and something to drink for the trail as we proceed at a birding pace. There are picnic tables and benches near the entrance, if you would like to have lunch after the trip.
There is a large parking lot and a portable toilet (just north of the parking area).
This trip is open to anyone interested in a naturalist walk. Bring binoculars and cameras. The leader will bring an extra pair of binoculars (on request) for loan in case anyone does not have a pair.
Meeting Place: Main entrance of Lowell Riverfront Park (in Everett) at the kiosk by the entrance gate.
Meeting Time: 8:30am. After brief introductions and trip review, we will start walking.
Duration: We will expect to be back to the parking lot between 11:30 and 12:00.
