We'll start our intertidal exploration by first discussing tides, intertidal habitat and then make our way down to the beach. We'll explore different habitats including seagrass beds, seaweed covered shores and rocks in search of marine life. This beach offers the opportunity discuss the different intertidal zones and explore the organisms found in each.

  • Remarkable -4.02' low tide at 11:35 am!
  • We will start exploring ~ 2 hours before the lowest tide to allow ample time as the water rolls out to its low point.
  • Please ensure you feel comfortable walking on rocky and potentially slippery, seaweed- and barnacle-covered rocks.
  • Expect detailed information by email approximately 3-4 days before the trip.

  • Poles if you would like more stability
