Naturalist Trip - Edmonds Marsh

This is a 2 1/2 to 3 hour morning Naturalist birding trip. We'll start at the Edmonds Marsh then make our way to the Edmonds waterfront. The pace will be slow. We may see Rhinoceros Auklets, Horned and Western Grebes, Black Scoters, Surf Scoters, Brants and more!

  • Easy
  • Casual
  • Mileage: 1.0 mi
  • Pace: 1.5 mph

After walking around the marsh, we'll walk the short distance to the Edmonds waterfront.  We'll walk out onto the pier and perhaps walk alnog the beach making our way to Brackett's Landing (north of the ferry terminal).

Binoculars, spotting scopes, cameras - bring them if you have them.  We won't be stopping for lunch so please bring snacks and something to drink if you think you'll need them.  It is sometimes cold and windy near the water so please bring layered clothing, including a waterproof layer.  Bring warm hat, gloves and hand warmers, if you think  you'll need them.

I will be checking the weather and if it is too windy or rainy I may cancel the trip.

Meet at 9:00am near the south boarder of the Edmonds Marsh by the Harbor Square Athletic Club.
