Naturalist Trip - Budd Inlet Beach

Join an oyster education experience at a private beach near Squaxin Park on Budd Inlet. While visiting this private beach learn about the Olympia oyster and plant oyster seeds for future generations of oysters. Olympia Naturalists Book Club members will have priority signing up for this event.

The activity will take place on the beach, rain or shine.  Be prepared with 

  • work gloves
  • work clothes
  • warm coat and hat
  • rain gear
  • muddy boots, if you have them
  • water bottle and sack lunch
  • sunglasses and sun hat
  • no open toed shoes or sandles, please.  Oysters can cut your feet

Appropriate for youth 12 years old and above

This activity will take place at a private beach near Squaxin Park.  The address and parking directions will be sent to participants a few days before the event.  The activity begins at 10:30 am and ends at 3:00 pm.
