Naturalist Trip - Bible Rock

Come explore the Teanaway Community Forest and hike up to two sandstone formations - Cheese Rock and Bible Rock. We will see flowers and trees we don't have on the west side of the Cascades. We will be rewarded with spectacular views of Mt. Stewart and the Enchantments and the Teanaway Valley.

  • Mileage: 8.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,200 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 2,500 ft
  • Pace: We will take our time with many stops.

We will be mostly walking up a dirt service road - graded, not rocky - which makes it easier to look around.  We won't rush but we do have 8 miles to cover.   If it is a sunny day there are places that are exposed. If it's a rainy day there are places that are exposed. Please be prepared for all types of weather, including rain, heat or wind. Note, it was very hot and sunny last year on this hike around the same date.  More information will be provided in the Hello Hiker letter once registrations are set.

We will meet at the trailhead ( 2498-1840 W Fork Teanaway Rd, Cle Elum, WA 98922 ) at 8:30 AM ready to hike. There are pit toilets at the trailhead. A Discover Pass is required.
