Naturalist Trip - Bellefield Office Park
Join us for a morning of birding. This is a good eBird hotspot. The office park is nestled into the Mercer slough and the short walking trail is along the parimiter of the campus. Plenty of viewing spots to observe waterfowl in and around the slough and woodland birds and raptors feeding and preching on the surrounding shurbs and trees.

What I like about this location are the flat even tread of the trail, manacured grounds with great open views of the slow moving water of the slough and the shrubs and trees on the opposite bank that serve as good perches for birds.
We'll walk, stop often and stand as we search and observe birds for about 3-4hrs. The grounds can be squishy and muddy especially after heavy rains. Waterproof footware is recommended. We'll avoid the more squishy areas by walking along the paved parking lots.
We are having an extremely rainy winter. This walk may be cancelled due to inclament weather.
You'll need:
Dress in warm layers, rain gear will likely be needed and waterproof footware.
Binoculars and scope if you have one.
Snacks, we'll walk slowly enough to eat snacks on the go or at our viewing stops.
Meet at 8:30 am ready to take our walk at the Dilettante Mocha Café at 1450 114th Ave SE, Bellevue, WA 98004. There is more parking across 114th Ave SE by the King County Court.
No park pass needed.
Restrooms are available at the cafe.
