Leaders like to move but also spot and hear as many birds as possible. All levels welcome, especially if you just completed the INW birding field trips, a great way to practice your new skills and knowledge.
Early start to beat the dog park goers, plus birds sing and forage at dawn. Bring Merlin bird app or favorite bird ID book, binoculars, scope if you have one although that's usually for shorebird viewing. Could help in the fields. Swallows, raptors, and songbirds, oh my!
We'll get an early start (6:15 walking time) from the east lot (details forthcoming in Hello Hiker.) Please arrive by 6 for introductions and birding agenda. Carpooling optional (park fills up on weekends the later we start), roster details also forthcoming in Hello Hiker.
