My goals for the trip are as follows:
1. Be safe.
2. Have fun.
3. Practice winter snowshoe skills.
4. Be comfortable in the snow.
5. Make the top of the ridge above the lake.
My expectations for participants are as follows:
1. Have the necessary gear to be safe and comfortable and know how to use it.
2. Participate in group discussions and decision-making regarding traveling in avalanche terrain.
3. Voice any concerns about snow/avalanche conditions.
4. Be at least reasonably physically fit.
5. Be open to learning.
My Style:
1. I love puns and jokes and riddles and words.
2. I am easily distracted by nature.
3. I like a good workout but I also like to have a good time.
4. I sometimes take a bit to respond because I'm mulling over my response. If I don't respond to you right away it's because I'm thinking about your question or comment.
5. I'm curious about people, so I may ask you questions about yourself.
6. I enjoy telling stories.
7. My leadership style is flexible, usually it's fairly relaxed. I'm also a big believer in servant leadership.
