8:30 AM at Longmire Museum
We will carpool from Longmire Museum as soon as the gate opens (normally by 9 am) to drive to Paradise, if the gate is open. Drivers need to carry chains. We will snowshoe the Stevens Canyon Road, conditions permitting. Otherwise we will divert to lower Mazama Ridge to reach the lakes, where we will have lunch. Olympia Snowshoe Students have priority to attend as part of their Winter Travel course. Others are welcome on a space-available basis. Carpools will share Mt. Rainier Nat'l. Park entry fee or pass.
