Actual route, distance and elevation gain may vary due to conditions. We will be watching the avalanche reports carefully, If it is unfavorable, we'll find another trip within MRNP. If the conditions are good, we'll look for fun ways to extend the trip. Actual start time may vary according to the gate opening at Longmire. Please be aware that the park requires all cars carry chains and they do enforce this pretty thoroughly. At the end of the hike we will gather at Alexander's to get something warm to eat or drink.
Please note: If you have the Backcountry Snowshoe Student Badge, you must have taken the course last year to qualify for this trip. If you are signed up to take the course this winter, you have not received instruction for skills that may be required on this trip.
