Meeting time 7:45am at the parking lot for the Silver Fir Lodge of the Summit Central Ski Area of Snoqualmie Pass. This is a satellite parking lot so a map will go out with an email the night before the trip. The location is between exit 53 and exit 54 off I-90. No restrooms available here, but Travelers Rest should be open and it is in between Exit 52 and Exit 53 closer to Summit West. Please be on-time.
The Mountaineers discourages carpooling with people who are not within your home or your pod.
This will be a conversational-paced, relaxed snowshoe trip with the goal of getting to the viewpoint of Radio Mountain and to find the 2 warming huts "just for fun"; however, this trip is for those who can handle the elevation gain AND for those who also enjoy the sights. Breaks will be short so no-one's toes get too cold, but those who prefer to charge summits will need to be on "chill-out" mode and those who are shutterbugs will need to be super quick for positive, "keep warm" wintertime group dynamics.
Each participant should be comfortable driving in winter conditions and have a vehicle with chains that is capable of safe travel in winter conditions.
Masks must be worn over the mouth and nose when within 6 feet of others.
Leader permission. Please confirm 1) your capability for the activity and the driving, and 2) you vehicle's winter travel capability.
There is a possibility that the roster could be expanded.
