CANCELLED DUE TO POOR SNOW CONDITIONS Meeting time 08:45am at the parking lot for the Silver Fir Lodge of the Summit Central Ski Area of Snoqualmie Pass. This is a satellite parking lot so a map will go out with an email the night before the trip. The location is between exit 53 and exit 54 off I-90. No restrooms available here, but Travelers Rest should be open and it is in between Exit 52 and Exit 53 closer to Summit West.
This will be a fun, conversational-paced snowshoe trip up to a really cool viewpoint behind the ski areas; however, all participants should have a good fitness base to be able to walk uphill in snowshoes through untracked snow and who don't mind scramble-type of route finding through the trees. Photography is totally okay, but breaks will be very limited, so no-one's toes get too cold.
Also, each participant should be comfortable driving in winter conditions and have a vehicle that is properly prepared to drive in winter conditions. Chains must be carried. The Mountaineers is not encouraging carpooling with people outside of your home or pod.
Masks required over the mouth and nose when within 6 feet of others. Leader's permission to go on trip,
