We will meet up at the Marble Mountain Sno-park at 5 AM on Saturday. Recommend car camping the night before. We will gear-up, brief, and start down the trail by 5:30.
The expected pace will be 2-2.5 mph on the lower slopes and then 1.0-1.5 mph once the serious climbing beings (roughly 3 miles in). High clearance vehicles are recommended as the road to Marble Mountain Sno-Park is unreliably plowed.
If the group is interested, we could have a destination planned for the other day as well to get in a solid weekend.
Leader Permission Required
Participants must be prepared for the high level of conditioning needed for the climb. Recent trip history should support this. Note that as a Technical 4 snowshoe, intermediate showshoe students are not allowed on this trip (the website says you are, but this is a problem being addressed).
