Intermediate Snowshoe - Mount Catherine

Spring forward an hour and celebrate the return of evening daylight by trekking up Mount Catherine (why not!?). Excellent conditioning required.

Hyak Sno-park @8:00AM (remember, Daylight Saving Time starts this day!). Sno-park pass required for drivers.

Leader Permission Required

Due to the length of this snowshoeing trip and the intended pace, excellent conditioning will be necessary for this trip. You should have a recent trip history of strenuous snowshoe or winter scramble trips.

Another long day in the mountains, hooray!! We'll start at Hyak Sno-park at 8AM (which will still feel early thanks to DST) and follow the road south and then west to Windy Pass. From there we'll cut east and ascend to the summit of Catherine. We may do lunch there or perhaps back at Windy Pass on the way down.
