We’ll climb to the snow-covered meadows of Mazama Ridge and navigate along the ridge and out to Reflection Lake for lunch. Return route choice may vary depending on conditions, the Lake loop trail through Barn Flat, the Paradise Road if not plowed, or return the way we came. Plan on an aerobic day. Weather or avalanche conditions could reschedule or cancel this trip. Winter Travel or basic snow shoe class including avalanche awareness required. Bring winter 10 essentials. Please note this trip originates out of Olympia. Second meeting place would be Eatonville for those coming from Tacoma, Seattle, points north.
