This will be to the Mowich Lake area. For all practical purposes we'll head for the lake but I am willing to take any but the least experienced so we may not actually make the lake. If the lake is listed as the destination, it is considered strenuous because of the five mile distance. If you've driven there in the summer, you know the grade isn't difficult and we'll chose the road route or the Grindstone Trail (which cuts off about a mile but is steeper) depending on who signs up. Because of the distance, I'll be fairly adament about having all ten essentials, especially extra clothes. Let's start early, have a nice long enjoyable day without pushing past most people's limits. There is the possibility that we cannot drive to the gate because of road conditions. In that case, we'll park where we need to stop and go from there. This trip is about getting out with some fresh air and exercise. The destination is serendipity. People coming from Seattle can meet up at the Buckley Rails-to-Trails parking area at the corner of Hwy 410 and Hwy 165. I will print up maps so don't buy one if you don't already have one. Contacting me by e-mail is best.
