Meet at 6:30 am at Tibbets P&R across from the Issaquah Transit Center. We'll assemble carpools and head out to Exit 54 Gold Creek. Sno-park permit required at the parking area for each vehicle. Day pass $20 / Annual pass $40.
A Two fer Tuesday snowshoe to Kendall First Knob and Lower Kendall Peak Lakes. We'll start from the Gold Creek sno-park and follow an old logging road to First Kendall Knob and have lunch with a view, hopefully. After lunch we'll head over to Lower Kendall Peak Lakes. We'll keep the pace fairly leisurely 1.5 mph but with the amount of gain it should still be a challenge.
Trip stats:
First Kendall Knob: 7 mi, 1,700 ft gain round trip
Knob + Lake: 8.5 mi, 1,950 ft gain round trip
Priority is given to Backcountry Snowshoeing students who need the intermediate trip to fulfill course requirements.
