Although different from the info in the Snowshoe Routes Washington book, the data on trip distance and aggregate ascent elevation shown here was obtained using GPS, Topo and MapSource during one of my trips there last year. With good visibility and more snow, this trip is normally spectacular (Stuart Range, Rainier, NE Cascades, Tronsen/Haney Meadows). Plan on a full winter's day outing. We will rearrange carpools at meeting place as necessary. Drive time to Blewitt Pass is about 2 hrs. Parking lots on both sides of the pass; sno-park permit required.
