Email sent to everyone on the roster or waitlist for the snowshoe tour to Diamond Head this upcoming Saturday. If you need to winterize your vehicle (find the tire chains, antifreeze, get sand, etc...) or find, repair, organize winter gear (snowshoes, long johns, shovel, change avalanche beacon or headlamp batteries, dig up extra gloves, sunglasses, thermos, hand warmers, etc... - see red items at http://www.mountaineers.org/seattle/snowshoe/equipment.html for suggestions); now is the time to do it. Directions from Seattle: I-90 east, exit 15, turn right, go (south) 3 blocks, turn left onto Newport Way, go (east) a short block, then turn right into the parking lot. The lot is across the street from the big metro parking building.
