This trip is a loop I regularly do on Forest Service roads around Amabilis. From the Sno Park, it is about 11 miles long. It is a great winter conditioner, with some pretty nice views of the central Cascades (Summit Chief, Chimney, Lemah) in decent weather. Typically, it's about a 6 hour round trip depending on snow conditions. We will only do the loop if snow conditions permit and the party is strong enough to finish it. Otherwise, we'll do an up & back, retracing our route, making it about a 9 mile trip.
