Intermediate Canyon - Mineral Creek
Join for this incredibly scenic canyon first descended less than 3 weeks ago. You'll be part of the 3rd known group through this canyon (less than 10 people are known to have descended this canyon), and also observe anchor maintenance/bolt placement procedures that go into establishing new canyons. Camera highly recommended, this canyon makes for good pictures!

Meet at the Mineral Creek trailhead at 9am (47.4176, -121.2383). Becca & Jake are leading a trip the day before through Incognito canyon nearby, so they will be camping at the trailhead. Participants are welcome to join Saturday evening for a socially distanced hangout at camp.

- Helmet with Whistle
- Harness
- Harness includes: lanyards, variable friction descender, working carabiners, master carabiner, 60cm sling, hand ascender, chest ascender/harness, rigging 8, VT prusik/eyeloop cord
- Canyon shoes (or approach shoes with grippy rubber)
- Snacks/Lunch
- Water Bottle
- Headlamp
- Drybag or Canyon Keg to store snacks/lunch/other

If you do not have a specific piece of gear and, please email/text Jake to discuss options. The Mountaineers has harnesses, knives, working and master carabiners, CRITR descenders, hand and chest ascenders, VT prusik/eyeloop cords, 60cm slings, and canyon quickdraws for participant use. The leaders will be bringing additional rope, ropebags, and packs from the Mountaineers to fill in the gaps as needed.
