Gargoyles Canyon

Trip

Intermediate Canyon - Gargoyles Canyon

The canyon drops steeply off the eastern flank of Del Campo Peak, losing 1,100 feet of elevation in less than 0.4 miles and ending in a scenic final sequence at the valley bottom. Lots of vertical and semi-long rappels, albeit standard rappelling. Trail hike in. Some short-lived bush bashing on the exit before hitting the return trail.

  • Intermediate Canyon
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 6.2 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,400 ft

Our goal is to drop a beautiful canyon while functioning as a well-oiled machine. Spend time in nature, get wet and take in the negative ions from the freshwater spray. And help each other along the way.

Details to follow once registration closes. We will be meeting early at the trailhead.
