Intermediate Canyon - Dingford Creek
Intermediate trip to Dingford! A spicy waterpark for the returning summer heat - We expect moderate flow, and will present the option of downclimbing, sliding, or jumping several of the published rappels. Personal assessment / ability to assess your risk and comfort level in-canyon with the terrain and the water is ESSENTIAL.

Meet at 9:30 AM at Safeway in North Bend, WA
We'll carpool from there - High clearance vehicles are necessary.
Intermediate graduates, leaders, and assistant leaders - you're welcome to sign-up without permission.
Basic students with at least 12 aquatic canyons - you can reach out to Shyam for permission. When you do so, give examples of canyons or aquatic experience you have done where you developed your risk-assessment for aquatic flow. We may include 1 or possibly 2 basic graduate participants at MAX in this trip.
We expect Moderate level flow. We will observe the water-flow from the bridge before we enter, and discuss as a group. We may still optionally choose to run the canon if the flow is slightly higher than we expect. In Dingford, moderate flow can still be fairly challenging for personal movement, rappels in-flow, and personal risk assessment.
We may present optional downclimbs, in-flow rappels, or jumps. Please make sure you have enough experience to assess your personal safety, comfort level, and risk tolerance for these moves.
Be ready to scout depth for jumps and slides.
Make sure you're comfortable with setting up, assessing, and engaging in soft-starts for human anchors.
Make sure you can communicate with the group about your comfort levels, and present/analyze the wet and dry line options available.
