The West Ridge of Mt Stuart requires the ability to move efficiently, consistently, for long periods over exposed 4th class terrain.  Expect roped climbing up to 5.7.  This should not be your first Intermediate level climb.  We'll start early at the trailhead, aiming for a bivy at the W. Ridge Notch, or summit.  This climb will be dependent on good weather.

Required Equipment

Bring gear as appropriate for an Intermediate rock climb with a bivy on route.  There may snow left over in the couloirs, so an axe may be prudent.

To be discussed.
