0800 at the parking lot at Longmire near the gate to Paradise on Thursday, July 7th.
Expect a two camp trip up and down the Kautz Glacier route. Challenging pace and elevation gain. Will involve a few pitches of alpine ice climbing and rappelling on the route. Looking for climbers with some ice climbing experience and previous glacier travel experience.

Required Equipment
- The Ten Essentials
- Mountain boots that can accept crampons (not hiking boots)
- Crampons
- An ice axe (and technical ice tool(s))
- A sleeping bag rated to +20 degrees or colder
- A sleeping pad
- A back pack (60 to 100 liters)
- Webbing and accessory cords
- 6 straight gate carabiners
- 2 locking carabiners
- Large pear-shaped locking carabiner
- Belay device
- Climbing harness
- Helmet
- Rescue pulley - don't bother if it is the SMC pulley without bushing.
- Fleece or puffy jacket
- Hard shell jacket and full-zip rain pants
- Warm gloves or mittens
- 2 Pickets and 4 ice screws per person
- Extra webbing or cord
