This is an early season climb of Emmons, usually opening weekend.  Also, plan on fast/brisk pace.  Excellent conditioning and prior big mountain experience required.

  • Mountain boots that can accept crampons (not hiking boots)

  • A sleeping bag rated to +20 degrees or colder

  • 6 straight gate carabiners
  • 2 locking carabiners
  • Large pear-shaped locking carabiner
