Please read all of the information below and do a goodly amount of research before deciding whether this climb is right for you.

  • The approach includes multiple long days of off-trail scrambling over a variety of terrain while carrying food, overnight gear, and glacier + rock climbing gear.
  • The summit day includes glacier travel, travel on steep hard snow, rock scrambling, and rock climbing.

Leader permission is required to register for this climb. Inquiries may be made on or after May 8 at 6 AM. Inquiries prior to this date and time will not be considered.

Inquiries should include answers to all screening items listed below, as well as some intelligent questions that demonstrate you have done some research on this climb.

Screening for the following:

  • fitness
  • off-trail travel experience while carrying a multi-day climbing pack
  • experience on steep hard snow with crampons (including face-in downclimbing)
  • 3+ day alpine climbing experience
  • bushwacking experience

Route and itinerary: 4 days car to car, plus day 0 to obtain permit, please inquire with leader for further details.

Expenses: The cost of the North Cascades National Park Backcountry Permit for this trip will be shared equally among all registered for this trip.

Logistics and Preparation: there will be at least 1 online meeting (zoom or google meet) that all participants are expected to attend.
