Intermediate Alpine Climb - Liberty Bell/Southwest Face

One day climb of Liberty Bell Beckey route. On a Monday for lesser traffic. Camping at Lone Fir campground the night prior, if you care to join up.

Meet at the Blue Lake trailhead at 0530, Monday August 20.  Ascend the summer route to the base of the climb and go from there.

  • Approach shoes likely fine.  Climbing shoes for the climb itself.
  • Crampons (not required)
  • An ice axe (not technical ice tools) not required)
  • A sleeping bag rated to +20 degrees or colder (if you camp)

  • 6 straight gate carabiners
  • 2 locking carabiners

  • Climbing harness
