This is hit and miss; dependent on conditions.
Assuming it goes, we'll go at a moderate pace.
I rated it challenging because there's a little bit of everything here: some mixed rock and ice at the beginning, some steep snow, perhaps a veggie belay or two, and some ice too... The approach has some avy considerations to boot.
We may move it up a week, a day, or back, again, depending on conditions.
Park at Alptental parking lot. Not sure we'll need a NW Forest Pass; will probs be skiers erywhere.

- Mountain boots that can accept crampons (not hiking boots)

- An ice axe (not technical ice tools)
- A sleeping bag rated to +20 degrees or colder
- A sleeping pad
- A back pack (40 to 60 liters)

- 6 straight gate carabiners
- 2 locking carabiners
- Large pear-shaped locking carabiner
- Belay device
- Climbing harness
- Helmet
- Chock pick (nut tool)
