  • Mileage: 7.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 3,000 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 10,000 ft

We shall meet at Longmire at 8am to coordinate moving up to Paradise.

This trip is intended to be an educational trip for skiers who haven't been on a glacier before and have completed the Foothills Glacier Skiing/Crevasse Rescue class. Depending on conditions we will ascend either the glacier directly or the Muir snowfield then access the glacier. Route-finding and feature identification will be part of this trip. This glacier is a pretty tame one so its a good place to get some initial experience before skiing more complex systems.
