A 2 day carryover climb of Shahale via the Quien Sabe glacier.

We will meet at the Boston Basin climbers trail at 8:00 am and head up the trail at 9:00.

This is an opportunity  for Tacoma first and second year basic students to complete one of their required climbs.  I will open up any available spots to all climbers on June 10th.  We will be doing a carry over climb starting in Boston Basin, climbing Sahale Peak, and returning to the vehicles via the Sahale Arm.

  • Mountain boots that can accept crampons (not hiking boots)

  • An ice axe (not technical ice tools)
  • A sleeping bag rated to +20 degrees or colder
  • A sleeping pad

  • 6 straight gate carabiners
  • 2 locking carabiners
