Basic Glacier Climb - Mount Shuksan/Sulphide Glacier

Shuksan is a Basic Glacier climb. Preference given to Agosta-Starlin SIG until May 1, 2018. I have the required backcountry permit.

  • Sat, Aug 4, 2018 — Sun, Aug 5, 2018
  • Seattle Climbing
  • Climbing
  • Basic Alpine
  • Adults
  • Basic Glacier Climb, Strenuous 3, Technical 2
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 16.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 6,500 ft

TBD, but probably meet at the trailhead early Saturday 8/4, and hike into base camp for about 5-7 hours the same day. We would try to camp as high on the route as feasible, climb on Sunday, and return to the trailhead on Sunday as well (for a rather long day on Sunday)

This is a strenuous climb. Participants will share in the cost of the permit. If you are requesting leader permission, please describe your conditioning so far, and your plan to remain in shape until climb day.
