Eldorado trail head, 4:30 am 

This is a strenuous one day glacier climb in the spectacular  North Cascades. Priority is given to Everett basic climbing students. Please let me know what climbs you're signed up for and any that you've already completed, as well as what you do for conditioning.

  • Mountain boots that can accept crampons (not hiking boots)

  • An ice axe (not technical ice tools)
  • A sleeping bag rated to +20 degrees or colder
  • A sleeping pad
  • A back pack (40 to 60 liters)
  • Webbing and accessory cords
  • 6 straight gate carabiners
  • 2 locking carabiners
  • Large pear-shaped carabiner
  • Belay device
