Hill repeats! This is one of three in a series of workouts focusing on interval training to improve your speed and endurance. Each week the hill repeat series will get progressively more difficult by increasing the effort time.
Total workout will be 60 - 80 minutes, 4 - 5 miles, 800-1000 ft gain.
2 mile warm up, easy jog. Hill repeat series (hard effort). Cool down.
First hill repeat series: 2 min run + 2 min recovery, 3 min run + 2 min recovery, 2 min run + 2 min recovery.
Leader permission required: Preference will be given to those who can attend all 3 in the series. Participants should be able to sustain a hard effort uphill for 2 minutes.
