  • Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 4.6 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,100 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 2,490 ft
  • Pace: avg 3.5 mph

Meet at 4:45 pm at the Cable Line trailhead sign. Note that the parking area is on the side of the road *before* the gate that leads to the High Point parking lot. No parking passes required unless parking in the Highpoint parking lot. There are no bathrooms at the trailhead - the nearest outhouse is near the High Point parking lot.

Directions: From I-90, a few miles east of Issaquah, take Exit 20 for High Point and turn south on 270th Ave SE. Just a few yards south of I-90, turn right onto SE 79th St and continue on west. The trail head is in ~0.3 miles, *before* the gate to parking lot.

Cable Line is one of the best conditioners! We will be covering 4.6 miles and 2,100 feet of elevation gain. Since the trail up can be steep, we hike uphill at a moderate pace. Once at the summit, we will pause for a brief snack, hydration break, and to enjoy the view. We will then jog down Tiger #3, which is wider and less steep than the way up - so much more enjoyable. After coming down to the Highpoint parking lot, we will run a connector trail back to the Cable Line trailhead.

Please be sure that this is not your 1st conditioner of 2024. While we will travel as a group, we expect that participants are able to handle the elevation gain at higher temperatures, even at a moderate 2.5 mph pace on the way up.
