Mount Si Main Trail

Frontcountry Trail Run - Mount Si Main Trail

Power hike up, run down. A great conditioner for climbers, scramblers, and runners. Also a good chance to practice downhill running at night

Changing to Thursday due to a ski mountaineering conflict on Wednesday night.

Meet at the TH ready to go at 6pm.

There will be a carpool leaving downtown Seattle around 5 for anyone interested.

This is a conditioning trail run with the idea of practicing power hiking up the hills and running downhill in the dark. We will maintain a steady pace stopping only at the top for a quick snack, before descending back to the cars at the TH.

At least part of the decent will be in the dark, so you need to have a headlight or some other light source.

I expect the total round trip time to be be between 2 & 2.5 hours.

I am not asking for leader permission for this trip. Please be very comfortable with being able to do this hike/run in 2 to 2.5 hours (1.5 hours up & 1 down). Please email me if you have any questions about this.

I will send out an email with more details on the Tuesday before the run.
