  • Mileage: 20.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 5,500 ft

We will take the 7:30 ferry from Anacortes to Orcas, exact meeting places and times to be coordinated in order to catch that sailing.

This is a great trip if you want to see almost all of Moran State Park. We will start at Cascade lake and more or less follow the route of the Orcas Island 50K trail run, with a couple of slight modifications for where the 100 miler is different.

map of the route

The pace will not be race pace and we'll settle on a pace that works for the group while still moving fast enough to be able to catch an afternoon ferry back to Anacortes.

No leader's permission required, but please be comfortable with the idea of covering 20 miles with 5,500 feet of gain with both major climbs coming in the last 5 miles. This should not be your first trail run.

Contact the leader if you have any questions.
