This run covers the first ~8 miles of the Centennial Trail from Snohomish to 20th Street NE, with an additional 3/4 mile to North Cove Park (Lake Stevens). The trip is paved for the entire route.
We will follow an out-and-back for 17.7 miles total distance with ~770 ft elevation gain. The trail has a gradual gain virtually all the way to 20th Street NE, with no part that is steep. At North Cove Park by Lake Steves, we will rest, have a snack, use the bathroom if necessary, then head back the way we came. Mostly downhill from there! We will look to do an avg 5.0 mph pace: slower jog uphill and slightly more than 5 mph on straighaway and downhill. In light of low elevation gain and low technicality, the trip is rated as Challenging because of activity guidelines regarding pace.
