End of October could be warm in the 70's or freezing in the 30's. The packraft can carry ample camping gear no matter how cold it may be. No hiking involved so plenty of gear can be brought.
We will hike around the ruins of Fort Whitman and explore a faint use trail to the top of Goat Island. On the return, if we have the right conditions and energy we will tour the marina.
