Take a new adventure into downtown Tacoma on New Year's Day to see some of my favorite parts of the city.

University of Washington Tacoma Campus Bookstore at 10:30am.

Free public parking and transit are available at the Tacoma Dome Station for participants that are less familiar with parking in downtown. More details to follow for registered participants.

Join me on this urban adventure to see some of my favorite parts of downtown Tacoma on a route that features a visit to the picturesque Stadium High School, the Champion Trees of Wright Park, and the Chihuly Bridge of Glass. We will spend some time at these places admiring the architecture, natural beauty, and artistic creativity so bring your cameras and a learning attitude for a fun New Year's trip! 

We will travel about 6 miles past many historical buildings and interesting sights in downtown which include:

  • The University of Washington Tacoma Campus
  • The Swiss
  • The Grand Cinema
  • WW Seymour Botanical Conservatory in Wright Park
  • Spanish Steps
  • Pantages Theatre
  • Thea Foss Waterway

Comfortable waterproof shoes and rain gear are recommended.
