Day Hike - Wilderness Peak

The hike is two loops on the Wilderness Creek , Wilderness Cliffs, Wilderness Peak , Shy Bear and Deceiver Trails . We will hike to the Wilderness Peak and Long View Peak summits.

This hike will have one carpool site at Greenlake Park and Ride , on 65th under the Freeway in Seattle. We will meet there at 7:15 am and leave for the trail head at 7:30 am . Others may wish to carpool at other sites or drive directly to the trail head. We need to be at the trail head by 8:00 am . Drive I-90 to Exit 15 , turn right on SR 900 and drive approx. 3.5 miles to the Wilderness Creek Trail head on the right.  Watch for the right turn to the trail head sign , In Blue letters , Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park , Jim Whitaker Wilderness Peak trail head .No permit is required at this trail head .
