9:00 AM at Enumclaw Ranger Station

This is an 8 mile round-trip hike along the rim of the White River valley to a viewpoint overlooking the valley where we will have our lunch.  Elevation gain is minimal.  There are nice, clean restrooms at the trailhead at the Mud Mountain Dam parking lot.  Half way to our destination is a park bench where the canyon view can be observed.  After the hike we can do a short stroll to an overlook of Mud Mountain Dam.  Book:  60 Hikes within 60 Miles of Seattle, 2nd Edition, c2009, pp279-283.  Map:  GT 237, Enumclaw
