West Tiger Mountain No. 3

Day Hike - West Tiger No. 3 Trail

Let’s meet Friday morning July 2nd at 7:45 a.m. and begin hiking by 8am.   Discover Pass required.  We should be done hiking by early afternoon but please understand that we hike as a group and our return time could be unpredictable. We will go up via the West Tiger #3 Trail and return via West Tiger #2 (a counter-clockwise loop), hiking at a steady pace of approximately 2 mph going up and faster on the descent. We’ll take a short rest for snacks at either the top Tiger 3 or 2, whichever is less crowded. The weather could still be quite warm while we hike, so please bring plenty of water and stay hydrated. Please only sign up if you have recently done similar elevation gain as this is a steady climb and not for beginners.  If you wish to go much faster than 2-2.5 mph uphill, adding weight will give you better opportunity for a conditioning hike.
